BIOS 35503-01: Practicum in Field Environmental Biology, West

3 credit, 10-week summer course from early June through mid-August - 8-10 students from Notre Dame and other universities, who have previously taken the UNDERC-East course
- The class visits several important reserves and historical sites, Including Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park
- Three 1-week modules:
- Grassland/Wildlife Ecology
- Montane/Forest Ecology
- Native American Ecology
- 5 weeks for independent research
- Housing and tuition fees are waived
- $5,500 summer stipend

BIOS 35501-02: Introduction to UNDERC-West
A one-credit introductory course during the spring semester provides students with a background in the natural history, geology, and paleoecology of Western Montana. Student materials (weekly handouts, Powerpoint presentations, etc.) are posted on-line for off-campus students not able to attend or enroll in the course.
